Devotionals for the Brokenhearted

Dear readers, my latest book, Devotionals for the Brokenhearted: 30 Days of Inspiration, Encouragement, and Prayer is now available for sale on Amazon.com in Kindle format. A special treat is that the foreword was written by Pastor Jerome Cade, Senior Pastor of Behold the Light Christian Ministries in Decatur, Georgia.

A Kindle device isn't required for download and purchase as Amazon has Kindle apps available for every smartphone, tablet, and PC for your convenience.

If you decide to make a purchase I'd greatly appreciate it if after your read you'd go back to the sales page and leave an honest review. This will help future prospective readers decide if this would be a work that they'd enjoy reading.

My publisher will begin active marketing and promotion this week, but I just wanted to give you guys a first heads up!

I appreciate your support!

Please SHARE this with as many people as you can.

Thanks!

I'm Baaacckkkk!!!

Dear readers, as you know already know, I haven't made a post in a long while, and for that I deeply apologize. I've been so very busy writing books, running a business, taking care of a husband, and meeting a thousand other demands that life has thrown my way. It's my intention to do much better in this area in 2014 as of late God has given me a flood of experiences on which to write and share His inspirations and insights.

To this end, one very important announcement that I'd like to make is that I've decided to accept the contractual offer of a well-known publisher to publish my next four books. Here's an announcement of the deal:

Partnering with TCK Publishing will allow me to get my Spirit-inspired message out to a broader audience and provide the much needed benefits of a publishing team to free me up from some of the dynamics that have prevented me from posting to my blogs.

I thank you for your patience and ask that you continue the journey with me that we started together a few years ago. I promise that it will be worth your while.

'Love of Christ,

Angela

*COMING SOON* Concerning Widowhood: A Primer for the Newly Widowed

For a long while now I've felt a leading from the Holy Spirit to write a book especially for widows.  A more urgent call has been to write it specifically geared to those recently widowed.

To that end, I've penned a small ebook entitled, Concerning Widowhood:  A Primer for the Newly Widowed.  It's now in the editing phase and will soon be available for download from Widow's Ark.

Stay tuned and in prayer that something will be said in its pages to bless, comfort, and encourage.

Until next time, I leave you in peace and love.

"Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world." James 1:27, KJV

Rest in Peace

Yesterday marked the anniversary of my husband's seventh year of passing, but I couldn't bring myself to write about it.  Friends and loved ones can sympathize, but no one can really understand the loss of a companion until they've gone through it themselves.

Don't get me wrong. By God's mercy, I have a wellspring of good memories to tap into of the time that we spent together, but there still isn't a day that goes by that I wouldn't like to share my day with him, hear him tell me another funny joke, or bask in the glow of his wisdom and commitment to Christ.

I pray that you are bearing up under your own sense of loss and that God is keeping you as you walk in your widowhood.  As widows, we hold a special place in God's heart.  I encourage you to accept His invitation to nestle there in the times when the sadness and loneliness knock at your door.

May our Heavenly Father fill you with the gift of his peace and comfort.

"He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds." -Psalm 147:3

Help Around the House

One of the major problems that I encountered when I first entered widowhood was that all of the tasks that my husband managed to keep the house running smoothly now fell to me, and they all fell at the same time. Things like keeping the yard done, plumbing problems, automobile service and repair, electrical problems, household maintenance, etc. were now added to my overwhelming and constantly growing To-Do List.

During this period of time a number of shysters (and in using this term I'm being kind) appeared and I found myself being ripped off for a number of services--shoddy work, jobs not completed, inflated pricing. Even with trying to obtain recommendations from family members and trusted friends I had to get into gear fairly quickly to find a good reliable crew of service people that I could trust to get the job done fairly, honestly, and in a manner that was reasonably priced.

Hopefully you won't have to go through the same experiences that I did.  I'd like to recommend a service that's been advertising a lot lately--Angie's List.  For a small monthly subscription fee you can get honest reviews from everyday people just like you and me on service professionals local to your area. In this way, you can make wiser decisions on finding reliable people to get the work that you need done.

Be blessed!
